The LCS Coach will be responsible for the oversight of the LCS and Academy team. This position requires leadership and management of personnel. The main job function for this role is to manage the CLG LCS team and develop a top-tier team for NA LCS. This position has direct reports and is responsible for equipping it’s staff.
Build, maintain, and support a roster of 5 professional starters. Maintain and support a roster of five professional players who consistently place in the top tiers of the NA LCS.
Lead a support staff consisting of game analysts, strategists, development coaches, and other advisors as you see fit to maximize team performance, discipline, game-understanding, and cohesion.
Support the CLG Academy team’s growth via their players and staff. Assist the Academy staff to develop their players into LCS caliber players. Work directly with the Academy players as needed.
Develop integration between LCS and Academy rosters through practice and systems.
Create practice schedule focused on reducing inefficiencies and maximizing learning potential while reducing player burnout. Provide practice structure that results in in-game growth and professional development.
Communicate with CLG leadership on a frequent basis, including weekly reports and/or meeting as determined by leadership.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
At least 2 years experience of professional coaching or 2 years playing professional League of Legends.
Experience analyzing professional game film to scout and create in-game strategies.
Demonstrates successful leadership skills to manage personnel as evidenced by previous experiences.
Experience developing systems for team performance, scouting, and talent acquisition.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Applications.
High School Diploma
At least 18 years of age
Proficient in English, both orally and written.
Head coaching experience with a professional esports team, NAIA, NCAA or professional traditional sports team.
Direct experience implementing personally developed coaching philosophy or system.
Bachelor Degree or higher.
