Here at CLG, we recognize that parents and guardians have been hit particularly hard during this pandemic.

As a result, we’ve put together a quick guide on how you can assemble a care package for a parent who may be in need of a little pick-me-up this holiday season!

In a study done by the American Academy of Pediatrics, more than 25% of parents reported worsening mental health since March 2020; in addition, 1 in 7 parents reported worsening behavioral health of their children. 1 in 10 families reported both (American Academy of Pediatrics, 2020).

Mothers have been disproportionately affected as they tend to take on the majority of childcare tasks like preparing meals, supervising online classes, helping with homework, and watching over their children as they play. On top of that, the guilt of straddling home and work life increases day-to-day anxiety levels for parents and has caused some to leave their jobs to become full-time caregivers.

We at CLG want to acknowledge the amazing sacrifice parents have made to help ensure a bright future for the next generation.

If you make a care package, we’ve love to see it! Share it with us on Twitter at @clgaming.
